My Tips to Save Money on Your Winter Wardrobe

Buying a new wardrobe each season can be ridiculously expensive. Who has the money to do that apart from rich celebrities? That being said, most of us still need new clothes to keep us comfortable and warm. I have some tips here that will help you to save money on your winter wardrobe. Enjoy!

Swap With Friends

Instead of going out to buy new clothes, swap with your friends instead. Grab some clothes you no longer want or wear, and tell them to do the same. Then agree on things to swap! You’ll all end up with completely new clothes and at no cost to you.

Buy Vintage

Vintage clothing can be expensive, depending on what you buy. However, you won’t usually pay more for a vintage shirt than you would for a regular shirt. So, why buy vintage? Because you can wear it again and again! Nobody is going to look at a vintage item and know where it’s from or what season it was. They’ll simply think you have a unique style. You can really get your wear out of vintage clothing. Plus, if you ever get to the point where you want to sell it, you’ll get more for it than a recently bought item!

Find Voucher Codes

I never buy clothes without looking for voucher codes to get money off first. You can bet I’ll at least find a code for 10% off or free shipping. You may need to check a few different sites and test a few different codes, but you’ll usually find one that works!

Buy Second Hand

Instead of buying brand new, buy second hand. Check Depop, eBay and similar sites to see if the item you’re looking for is selling any cheaper. Usually, second hand items have only been worn a handful of times. Sometimes they haven’t been worn at all! Always check for a second hand bargain before you buy new.

Learn How to Layer

Layering items is a skill. Once you’ve mastered it, you can take an outfit from drab to fab! Not to mention create a look using clothes you bought a while back, and nobody will be any wiser. There’s no need to keep your summer clothes for warmer days. You can easily make a dress suitable for winter by adding tights, boots, and a jumper or coat!

Sell Old Clothes First

Before buying new clothes, sell your old clothes. Put them on a selling site with a low starting bid to get interest. This works especially well with brand name clothes and designer items. You should be able to get back a lot of money, which you can then put towards buying your winter wardrobe!

Use these tips to save money on your winter wardrobe and you’ll love the results! You’ll have more money in your bank for winter activities, which can be useful with Christmas just around the corner. If you have any tips of your own you’d like to share, make sure you leave a comment below.

Unique Ways To Celebrate Your Anniversary

Regardless of whether you’re married or not, if you are in a happy relationship, you should always celebrate your anniversary. Not just to show each other that you care, but also to keep the romance and spark between you, alive.
After a couple of years of being in a relationship, it’s easy for the dynamic of things to change. We tend to become less loving towards one another, and most of the romantic stuff goes out of the window. This is especially true if you live with your significant other, as living together changes your relationship.
To keep the chemistry alive, celebrating your anniversary in a  different way to normal is important. For all the best ways to celebrate, make sure to take a look at my ideas, here:
Couple’s massage
If life is hectic - perhaps you have high powered jobs or a big family, a couple's massage could be the perfect way to celebrate your anniversary. Often, when we are feeling stressed out, we snap at our loved ones and take our feelings out on them.
For a happy relationship, despite the stress you are under, a couple’s massage is the perfect treat. It will calm and de-stress you, and may even bring the pair of you closer together. Look out for a spa that specialises in couple’s treatments, so that you know you’ll get the best experience possible. For deals, have a look at online discount sites like VoucherCloud and Wowcher. To make it even more special, opt for a spa that offers champagne.
Pleasure flight
How about taking to the skies for your anniversary? If you love the idea of doing something different to mark the occasion, a helicopter ride with Pleasure Flights Ltd could be ideal. It’s a fun, unique and exciting way to spend your anniversary, but best of all, taking a helicopter ride can also be incredibly romantic.
You might love the idea of a pleasure flight, but the cost of it might be putting you off. However, it shouldn’t do, as believe it or not, pleasure flights aren’t that expensive, they start from just £39 per person.
Glamping trip
You might be thinking that staying in a fancy hotel would be nicer, but hear me out. You can get some amazing glamping sites - some even come with private hot tubs and champagne on tap. If you want to make your anniversary special, a glamping trip will beat a posh hotel every time.
The best thing about glamping is that you can sit out under the stars sipping on a glass of bubbly, snuggled up together. What’s more romantic than that? Whereas, in a hotel room, you lay in bed watching the television, listening to the cars go by. To make your glamping experience as enjoyable as possible, make sure to pick the perfect site. Opt for somewhere that has fantastic reviews, and is situated in the ideal place.
Want to make your anniversary more memorable? Then make sure to celebrate with one of the above ideas - they'll make your time together special.

Quick and Simple Ways to Keep Your Baby Happy!

Having a happy baby is a must. If you want to be a good parent and have a baby that grows into a wonderful little person, then you need to make sure you keep them happy. Here are some quick and simple ways that really work. Check them out:

Get Into a Nice Routine

Getting into a nice routine with your baby is a surefire way to keep them happy. Babies just love knowing what’s going to happen next. Nothing makes them smile more than repeating the same thing over and over again! They love a good daily routine, but they’ll also love you singing the same song or poem to them, or playing the same game with them. This is how they develop and learn, so make the most of it! Try to put them down to sleep at the same times, feed at the same times, and bathe at the same times. The more consistent you can be the more they’ll get used to their routine.

Give Them a Pacifier

Giving your baby a pacifier satisfies their natural instinct to suck. Even when they are not hungry, this instinct can remain and make them grumpy. By giving them a pacifier they’ll soothe themselves and feel calmer in an instant.

Dress Them Comfortably

Comfy clothes are absolutely essential for a happy baby. Scratch mittens will stop your baby from making their delicate skin red raw too. Make sure that everything you put them in is suitable for their soft skin and won’t irritate or rub them.

Play Peekaboo

Playing peekaboo with your baby is a lot of fun. They just love to look up at you. The way you feel about looking at them is the same way they feel about looking at you! Play any game that involves you both being able to see each other like this and it’ll strengthen your bond!

Try Gentle Stretching

If stretching feels nice to us, why wouldn’t it for babies? Obviously you need to be gentle, but stretching out baby’s arms and legs can make them giggle. You do it in a similar way to what you’re used to, you just need to be extra careful and gentle. There are tutorials online to help you if you need them.

Baby Massage

If you really want to treat your baby, try giving them a baby massage. They don’t have aches and pains like we do, but it still feels nice for them and the skin to skin contact helps you to bond. Be gentle. If you’re unsure of what to do, you could take a class or watch some tutorials!

A happy baby is a healthy baby, so make sure you keep your baby as happy as possible with the tips in this guide. They are very quick, simple, and easy to implement so you can make your baby feel better in a flash! I hope you love these tips and they work wonders for you. Leave any comments you may have below!

Keeping Your Baby Comfortable: What You Need to Know

Keeping your baby comfortable should be one of your priorities. They are very sensitive; much more sensitive than you and I. Here are a few things you should know in order to ensure your baby is as comfortable as possible:

Babies Have Sensitive Eyes

Babies have very sensitive eyes. This means you should keep really bright lights away from them, and avoid using a camera flash close to them. This is especially important for the first few weeks; I’ve heard horror stories of baby’s eyes being damaged from things like this! Make sure you take every safety precaution when it comes to your baby’s eyes.

Babies Have Sensitive Skin

You probably already know that babies have sensitive skin too. More sensitive than ours. Whether you’re bathing them or dressing them, you need to be very careful. Make sure you only use materials suitable for babies, as you don’t want to irritate them. Be careful of the products you use on them; you should research them to ensure that they are suitable for your baby and that no reactions will occur. You should even be wary of things you use in their nursery, as the smallest thing could affect them in some way.

Temperature is Important

Temperature is so important. You don’t want your baby to be too hot or too cold. You have to plan their outfits carefully, and make sure that you can easily add layers or take them away if you need to. The weather isn’t always easy to predict, so buying clothing like this is a must. Consider what you put in their cots and pushchairs too. Have blankets and covers that you can add and take away as the weather changes. Pushchair raincovers will protect them from the drizzly weather we get at this time of year.

Get Into a Routine

Get into a routine with your baby so that they pretty much know when bathtime is, bedtime is, and dinner time is. A routine will keep them comfortable and happy.

Get to Know Your Baby

Eventually, you’ll get to know your baby. You’ll know what they want corresponding to their style or cry. It sounds silly, but it’s true! Make an effort to get to know your baby and you’ll be able to keep them comfortable at all times.

Surround Them with Colours

Although baby’s eyes are sensitive, you should surround them with bright colours to help their development. This is how they learn!

Stay Calm

Your baby learns a lot from you, so make sure you stay calm. If you’re getting frazzled or in a flap, your baby will sense this and start to act the same way. Breathe deeply when something doesn’t go your way, and don’t worry about things you can’t control. Staying calm is the best way to keep your baby calm too!

Keeping your baby comfortable should be your number one priority. Much of it is common sense, but you do need to make the effort to get to know your baby, as every baby is an individual. Don’t worry too much, and learn as you go along. I hope this helps!

Hot Hair, Hair Pieces :: Review

Firstly, i must apologise for the lateness of this post going up. Working from home might seem like a blessing but once you've been sat at your laptop all day, you can't wait to close it once you're finished. But here it is (finally), my review of my Hot Hair hair piece.

I've been following Hot Hair for a few months because i find being able to change your style with something like a hairpiece is, for want of a better word, brilliant. And when they asked if any Bloggers would like to receive one and review it, i didn't exactly hold back.

Side note- Before i get into the review, i just want to say a massive thank you to Louise who was e-mailing me about the hair piece and found a perfect colour match when the one i chose was out of stock so Louise, thank you very much for your help. Your customer service is c'est magnifique!

Ok so down to business. So i decided to go for the Glam clip in ponytail in cappuccino (which was replaced by Lavish for reason stated above) When i first opened the hair piece, the first thing i noticed was how un-synthetic it felt. A lot of hair pieces and extensions these days feel very plastic in texture and are blatantly look fake but this ponytail looked incredibly realistic and i couldn't believe the colour match, it was absolutely spot on.

Attaching the hair piece was so so so easy. The top part has a large crocodile clip which i wasn't expecting as with clip in ponytails i have had before, they either had a flimsy comb or a piece of velcro to attach it and they never stayed in. But this was a really ingenious method of attaching it and it worked a treat. I tied my hair up into a high pony and simply clipped the ponytail onto the bobble. Et voila! A beautiful, long flowing ponytail!

I adore this hair piece and have got so much use out of it, including wearing it to my friends Halloween party. It's quite heavy when it's attached to my hair but frankly, because it looks so nice i can look past that and just enjoy wearing it!

Thanks again to Hot Hair for letting me review one of your amazing products.

If you like the look of this pony tail or would like to browse the range, head on over to their website

Ideas To Help You Have A Better Relationship With Your Grandparents

If you have a large family, it's likely you'll spend a lot of time with your grandparents. As a child, I used to love it when we visited ours. Family meals and get-togethers are always that much more special in my opinion.

As you grow up, one thing you will always cherish is the fun times you've had with them. When they get older, your grandparents will need the help and support of their families more. Here are some ideas on how you can do that and build a stronger relationship with them:

Make them laugh

There's a saying that laughter is the best medicine. Making people laugh is always a good way to lift their spirits. Have your grandparents been feeling down about something? Why not take their mind off things and give them a reason or two to laugh again!

You could talk about fun family activities where someone might have done something silly. Or maybe you could take them out to a comedy evening in their local area. There are many ways to cheer up people. Make sure you know how to make your grandparents laugh!
Do some DIY jobs around the house for them

Sometimes your grandparents will need some help fixing stuff in their homes. They might have a leaking tap or a room that needs painting. Whatever the task, it's worth asking if you can help them with it.

DIY might not be your cup of tea, but it's a great way to strengthen the bond with your grandparents. They will also be appreciative of you giving them a hand with odd jobs around their home.

Help them plan for the future

At some point, your grandparents may need help in their day to day lives. Some people might have carers visiting them in their homes. Others prefer to move to a nursing home; somewhere like Drumconner might be great if they fancy spending their retirement by the coast.

It's likely that you will have good knowledge of the Internet and using computers. You can help your grandparents plan for their future with your IT skills. They'll also trust you to help them rather than people outside of the family.
Plan a picnic

If the weather is nice outside, why not plan a picnic at a picturesque location with them? We all love going out and about; there's no denying that fact. Do your grandparents have mobility problems? If so, a picnic outdoors can be a nice treat for them.

You could even make it a family gathering and have your parents and your children there too.

Just be there for them

Sometimes it's nice to know that you've got family you can rely on when you need help. Another way to strengthen your ties with your grandparents is just to be there for them.

Let them know that you're there for them if they need help with anything, or if they just want someone to talk to.

I hope this article has shown you how to build your relationship with your grandparents. See you soon!
